The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is undergoing significant review and reform following the conclusion of the NDIS Review. This includes the development of a system of Foundational Supports for people with disability that sit outside of the NDIS and are provided by each state and territory.
Following the conclusion of the Disability Royal Commission and release of the final report in late 2023, there have been a range of actions and reforms recommended. Several specific action plans have been developed or reviewed, such as the National Autism Strategy and National Disability Strategy 2021-2031.
