The Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics is the basis for identification of a possible breach of ethical or professional standards. It is also the basis for an investigation of a formal complaint by the Speech Pathology Australia Ethics Board. If you have concerns that a speech pathologist is not complying with our Code of Ethics please contact the ethics team at Speech Pathology Australia by calling National Office on 1300 368 835, emailing [email protected] or filling out this contact form.
Please note that not every speech pathologist, is a member of Speech Pathology Australia. If you have concerns about a speech pathologist who is not a member with the Association, we can help you find other appropriate channels to make a complaint.
National Code of Conduct
The National Code of Conduct (the Code) is a minimum set of standards of conduct for all health service providers who are not regulated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Speech pathologists are included in this group of health professionals.
